Mainlined the second series of Being Human this weekend. And, and itwassogoodireallydontknowwhattodowithmyselfomg

Spoilers for the entire damn thing plus the first two episodes of series 3 for good measure...Spoilers and pics, spoilers and pics )

I need to find some Being Human icons, for real.

Random football talk: I hope the Packers win tonight. Not because I'm a fan, but because I hate the Steelers with the passion of a thousand suns.
Good: I got a new furnace! The old one got banished to the side of the road and became part of the winterscape of my front yard Saturday morning. Yeah, I'm classin' up the joint:

Someone picked it up at some point. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I much prefer my functioning (and much more quiet) new furnace. Although, my skin is crazy dry all the time now. Maybe I should invest in a humidifier?

Bad: The Colts lost to the Cowboys. Something is wrong with Peyton. Four interceptions in two consecutive games? I know our O-Line is bad, but COME ON. We need to pull out of the nosedive Thursday against the Titans or we are SOL.

Annoying: I exceeded my bandwidth (totally typed 'bandwitch' there... which is totally how I'm feeling) on Photobucket again and I'm not sure how since I haven't posted much of anything. Plus, I removed all the gifs, so it's not that. However, instead of living with my page looking like horse manure for the rest of the month, I moved my background elements over to livejournal.

I need to find a better solution (maybe a second Photobucket account?) because I hate the LJ gallery system. And, I'm going to do a quick picspam, so the annoyance is fresh in my mind:

I made pork buns this weekend to edible, if weak, results. Witness the mediocrity... )
Guys? I am so. old. It's not often that I over indulge in the alcohol department these days, but this weekend was an exception. One of my sorority sisters got married and while I had an awesome time, I'm still paying for it. It was great to catch up girls I haven't seen in nearly five years. Everyone is great, off being lawyers and psychologists and mothers and other wonderful things. We're all very grown up and respectable ...and then the music starts and we're all back in college.

The only downside was the six hour car trip back home. Hungover. I had zero patience for fools.

OH! And then I watched The Walking Dead last night, loved it, AND THEN TURNED IT OFF BEFORE IT WAS OVER. I had no idea it was an hour and a half episode. It got to be 11 and I thought I missed the ending credits so I turned the tv off. WTH, me? So now I gotta go find it so I can finish the episode.

Colts play the Texans tonight and I am very concerned. I'm not even going to talk about it beyond hoping that we'll have enough players left after all the injuries and drunken canal-swimming shenanigans that occurred in the past couple of weeks.

1. Playful Kiss ep 14 - I guess that's the most we're going to get from Ha Ni. Sigh. I like that she took some time to actually think about her future, though it took me more than a weekend to decide what I wanted to do with my life. Then again, I still don't really know. I also like that Seung Jo pushed her into actually caring about what she was going to do. I like the way they fit together as a couple. Just like Seung Jo's mom said: they are a pot and a lid. What I don't like is she still kind of ended up with the same decision as before with choosing nursing. Plus, I have doubts as to her actual mental capacity for it. We know she is determined, but she's also not very bright.

2. Saw Secretariat, because I like horse movies. I used to watch Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken ALL the time when I was younger. Secretariat was alright, but I thought Seabiscuit was by far a better made movie. Secretariat felt kind of oddly paced and I never really connected with the characters. I'm not really sure what audience they were looking for, because it's not like it was targeted at kids. But it also didn't have much finesse to it.

3. I think the Colts are trying to give me a heart attack. I don't even know what to make of this team anymore. Sometimes we have an offense, other times we have a defense. Last night NO ONE could hold onto the ball and we somehow managed to win. I don't even know.

4. Doing my best to stay away from Mad Men spoilers. I watched the football game so I haven't seen the finale yet. My fingers keep itching to check out summaries but I don't actually WANT to know what happens before I see it. So I'm also super anxious about looking at my flist... or anything on the internet really.
rosdrise: (vmars - gotcha)
I like football (American-type, not soccer-type). More specifically, I like Indianapolis Colts football. They are the only team I care about in the only sport I watch. Though, I have to admit, I got sucked into March Madness earlier this year rooting for Butler.

The important thing here is: yay football is coming back. Pre-season started a while ago, REAL football is just around the corner. The Colts played their 3rd preseason game last night and, ugh, ...

"Did you see that ludicrous display last night?"
- Moss, The IT Crowd

It's a pity football players have to wear the uniforms they do. All that padding, sleeves, and pants cover up some really stellar specimens of the male gender (Not so much the D-Lineman, but still...). That's why when I came across Australian Rules Football, I got a little giddy. I can totally get behind this uniform choice.

And now for a completely random and gratuitous picspam: Don't look at me like that... )
This post is kind of all over the place. Please bear with me.

Earl and Zuzu say 'hi' )

ETA: The first Colts preseason football game was this weekend. REAL FOOTBALL IS SO CLOSE I CAN ALMOST TASTE IT. :9

"I will sketch for the first five people who comment with their request. Simple sketches only. The catch is that you must put this up in your journal as well. If you absolutely do not draw, go for drabbles, etc."

In other news: The Colts clinched a playoff berth last night! It was a close game, a nail-biting, stomach churning game, but we did it!

ETA: Or if you don't have time to put this up on your journal, just go ahead and post anyway. Tis the Christmas season!
