Burton's version is going to take place in the future as well, I believe. It's the story of Alice going back to Wonderland when she is older. I am hoping for the best when it comes to Tim Burton, he's done some films I just love (Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure to name a few)
