It's come to my attention that I need to get a library card. It's been years since I had one (since I moved) and that is unacceptable. There is no need for me to be spending money on books when I can just borrow them for FREE. I need to start reading again, my brain is turning into goo just like they talk about on the hulu commercials. The DMV is also on my to-do list this weekend. I need to change the address on my license, then I will find the nearest library branch and start trying to reclaim some brain cells
BUT BACK TO TV.
Yesterday I started Being Human a short BBC series about a vampire, werewolf, and ghost living together. I'm only an episode and a half in, but I think I'll probably love it. I've enjoyed it up to this point - all the characters are interesting and have distinct personalities. Plus, the vampire? SUPER ATTRACTIVE:

Double plus? IRISH.
I also watched the first episode of Who Are You? because ever since I read the description I've wanted to watch it, though I'm not sure why. I had been determined not to put more than three dramas on my plate at a time but this kept pushing its way back into my brain. It just sounded so cute, so of course the first episode made me cry BUCKETS. I supposed the had to kill they dad if the whole premise of the show (he takes over some kid's body to communicate with his daughter) was going to work, but did we really need that super extended grieving sequence? I almost made it all the way through but ended up breaking down finally. The preview for episode 2 looks far more fun and enjoyable, which is what I had been expecting.

Ooh, I like the idea for "Being Human" & I think the BBC is the sort of place where they could really make that concept become golden. I will have to see about seeing that one!!
"Who Are You" is adorable; I think you'll really like it. But yes, they cry--a lot. I was suprised some episodes how they really could muster those sort of tears. I enjoyed the characters a lot and it does have a satisfying ending so I much approve of your choice! :D

Being Human is only 6 episodes too, so it'd be really easy to watch.
Now I just need to decide what I want to start reading... Oh decisions!

Hmmm... I would think it would get at 4/5; what deters me from giving it a higher rating is there are times in the middle it drags a bit. I also think the impetus of the baddies is pathetic. Still, it's one of those dramas I really enjoyed as it makes you truly feel for every character. It also made me want to drink soju really badly (I found some Japanese soju but I'm still looking for geniune Korean soju.)
Speaking of short BBC shows that are DEFINITELY worth a watch is "My Life in Film" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Life_In_Film) with delicious Kris Marshall (you might know him from "Love Actually" as the guy who goes to America to get laid). "Murder City" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_City) was a short-lived show (2 seasons) that we really got into with Kris as well.
Of course, I'm sure by now you've seen "Spaced" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaced) with Simon Pegg, rrrrigght?

I know about Spaced, I've just never actually seen it.
We should have soju when you guys come to visit! That means I need to strengthen my search for an Asian grocery in town. There has to be one SOMEWHERE. I know we only have one Korean restaurant though, which is wierd for me because this is a bigger city but there were so many back home.

Ah, now you have an assignment!! You have got to see Spaced; it is truly brilliant! :>
Definitely!! Let's go eat Korean foooooood as it is oh-so-tasty! There is one restaurant I've been going to next to the Savoy Theater of all places; it's a Korean restaurant that makes pizza, BBQ, and traditional meals. It also has Karaoke rooms. LOL.
