So, Mi Rae just announced that she is pregnant with In Jae's baby. And while we know she's a dirty liar, he doesn't.

So he is FREAKING OUT.

That doesn't look happy to me. In fact, it looks a little miserable.

Aw, that would be a nice sentiment, EXCEPT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

In Jae is upset. What does In Jae do when he is upset? DRINK.

He's also like to excercise, but his friend isn't down with that. Last time, when In Jae learned he had 'slept' with Mi Rae his friend nearly lost his head thanks to a soccer ball.

Plot Device Kid will!

Ah, Plot Device kid does his job well because here is Na Ra.

Teehee. In Jae thinks she is pretty.

Because In Jae is a child incapable of dealing with grown-up feelings and grown-up relationships he deals with his feelings for Na Ra as any seven year old would:

SERIOUSLY DUDE. You are 27, learn to handle things in an appropriate manner. It's not Na Ra's fault that you're in love with her but stuck in a relationship with your dead brother's fiance and your fake bastard fetus.

Na Ra doesn't appreciate it either.

Oh, honey, he didn't actually WANT you to leave. He HAD to have you leave because he's being pulled in about a million directions.
Meanwhile, her family is very excited at Na Ra's success, because now she'll FINALLY be able to get a husband. THANK GOD.

The next day at Face Story, VP Momma totally blindsides Mi Rae with the full blame for the poor marketing results of the last quarter. She's stripping her of those duties.

I just want Mi Rae to go POSTAL on this whole conference room. Then at least she'd be crazy evil cool. But no, she holds it in like a good woman and waits to blame Na Ra for all her problems. Because a woman's worst enemy is always other women.
VP Momma also assigns Mi Rae with this huge task of surveying all Face Story employees and compiling various stats from the past year. Seung Woo pipes up in Mi Rae's defense, saying that it's way too much for a single person to do. Momma tells him to shut his trap.

After the meeting Mi Rae tries to talk to the VP, but she's having none of it.

I believe that is called karma. How's it taste Mi Rae?
Back at the Face Story branch, In Jae is paying dearly for his night of drinking.

Na Ra has no pity for him and demands he answer the phone when Mi Rae calls (he totally DOES NOT want to take the call).

Mi Rae enlists his help with her newly assigned task.

Na Ra is none too pleased with this, since Mi Rae is totally circumventing her and assigning In Jae things without her permission.

She's actually pretty understanding about it, because she knows that the VP is treating Mi Rae unfairly.
Back at the main office, Seung Woo is trying to win Mi Rae's heart with various charts and spreadsheets.

And because it's totally appropriate for the workplace, he brings up her personal life and how the VP wants her gone, gone, gone.

Mi Rae remains resolute in her stance. She will continue to love In Jae and eventually win Momma over (or you know, she will DIE eventually so that is always an option).

Seung Woo says that's why he loves her.

ICY GLARE OF DEATH.
In Jae tries to comfort Mi Rae after learning his mom is being a royal pain in the butt. But Mi Rae is less than pleased by the way he learned of this problem.

You aren't being nice enough to Mi Rae!

LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE.
Anyone else thinking these little episodes are psychologically indused? They seem to happen at the most opportune times to make In Jae feel even WORSE.

Yes, because running away will make everything better. Isn't it nice to see adults being SO ADULT.

Does Mi Rae have to choke a bitch?
PROXIMITY ALERT.

Oh ho ho, could it be Mi Rae's walls are crumbling?
Back at Face Story, In Jae is clipping his nails because Na Ra harrassed him about them earlier. Only he's being super gross about it.

Because, you know, he wants attention and this is how children behave.

Na Ra attempts to be an adult for a few minutes but it soon disolves into playfighting.

eep.
Mi Rae plays it off though and ignores Na Ra.

In Jae has no idea what she is talking about (because Seung Woo sent the car to drive her to work. Because pregnant women can't drive?), but doesn't admit that.
At the main office Na Ra's mom has brought In Jae's mom a GIANT TUB of preserved garlic. Seriously, it just plain garlic. I like garlic, but I really have no desire to just chomp down on a couple cloves.
VP is equally horrified, because can you imagine the SMELL?

But apparently is delicioussss~~~~
More importantly:

DUDE. Deal with your own issues first. Like how your husband is a flaming asshole.

The fate of being 31 and unmarried, of course. Can you imagine THE HORROR.
VP invites Na Ra over for dinner (as well as In Jae, but he doesn't know) and they bond for a while over how good Na Ra is at her job.

Na Ra takes a break from the VP's insinuations and has some flashbacks: Bathroom hijinks! Oh how I miss when this show was just silly ridiculous and not boring angsty.

Oh, memories~~~~
Na Ra is also good at cooking, so VP thinks she's hit the jackpot when it comes to daughter in laws. PLUS she never slept with her dead son, so that's awesome.

Not knowing that Na Ra is at his mom's house, In Jae suggests that Mi Rae come in for dinner. They can have a nice little family gathering and prey that his mom doesn't strangle her.

Whoops.

I bet Mi Rae LOVES this turn of events.

Oh, I guess not.
Time for VP Momma to be passive aggressive again.

In Jae's mom tells a story about how once In Jae had seafood soup at Na Ra's house when he was little and came home demanding to have it again.

That resulted in a swift beating to set him straight.

Child abuse FTW!

AH HA HA. I love that the mom served seafood not even knowing about Mi Rae being there. Don't like the smell? LOL.
In Jae's mom assigns him and Na Ra to dish duty.

This of course results in more memories about how they once touched elbows while doing the dishes together. Ah, simpler times.

Momma loves it.
In Jae sends Mi Rae home and then offers to take Na Ra. She declines but he insists on walking her to the bus stop.

What follows in another one of my favorite scenes. Again, a little cap heavy because I love teary-eyed Kang Ji Hwan. I'll let the caps speak for themselves.

In Jae totally knows what is coming and he does not like it one bit.

His lower lip is shaking something FIERCE. These caps can't really do it justice.

We can only hope that this sends him a wake-up call. Except it totally DOESN'T. But you will all have to wait until next week.
