I'm proud of myself. I've made vast improvements when it comes to capping episodes. No longer am I in the "cap every two seconds" camp, I'm much more moderate now! That makes these posts a lot easier to deal with. OKAY, episode 2:

We open with our heroine, Yuko. We didn't learn that much about her in the first episode as Miwa (Yuko's friend), Ryo, and the detective (Yuko's brother) kind of took center stage, but now we learn more about her. She is at a matchmaking session (I don't really know what to call it) with her brother and some guy her brother's coworker suggested. He's super awkward, but so is her brother and somehow wine ends up spilling on her jacket. She's forced to take it off, but is obviously distressed for reasons we will learn later.

Luckily, a complete unknown grabs a towel from the kitchen and wraps it around her shoulders.

WHO COULD IT BE?

Big fat DUH

Aww. But before you grow too attached to his thoughtfulness, we next see Ryo at a club flirtin' with the ladies~~~

Then someone he knows approaches.

She will be relevent later!
Yuko happens upon Ryo at one of her favorite restaurants and tries not to make eye contact with him, which is difficult because she keeps LOOKING at him.

They talk briefly and he gives her crap about her brother trying to impress her date. And he's kind of charming in a creepy way. Then he catche a random white parakeet loose in the store and compares it to Miwa, so Yuko is a little smitten.

Then she sees him out with another girl (the girl from the bar).
The detective is still trying to piece together the murder scene. He doesn't think the dead girl's boyfriend did it as he doesn't seem the type.

Then he runs into Ryo outside of a convenience store.

And Ryo asking what it is like to KILL SOMEONE doesn't exactly assuage our suspicions.
Miwa, whose parents want her to get married to this random prick, comes by to confront Ryo about the girl Yuko saw him with.

He tells her that he is uncertain in the relationship himself and suggests they might as well sleep together.

Ah, but it was only a JOKE to LIGHTEN THE MOOD.

Ryo's like "that was my sister, it's all good." And because Miwa is a MORON, she believes him.

And he's charming and adorable and awesome at being a total con artist.

That bag is a treat Miwa made for him, now abandoned on the side of the road. Symbolism, people. Symbolism.
Next Yuko goes to the restaurant to directly confront Ryo about his relationship with Miwa and various other women.

He, of course, plays the "you like me too" card. And even though she is intrigued, she awesomely tells him she isn't attracted to him. Then she somewhat sabotages herself by revealing the burn scars on her elbow in the course of eating. She asks him if he minds them, and while he doesn't he note that she wanted to hide them back at the restaurant.

But, she doesn't mind if Ryo can see them because they don't bother him.
Then we get a rather bizarre montage of Ryo slicing an apple in his creepy loft apartment (which is furnished in metal grates, chains, and one chair)...

And the detective slurping down ramen as he ponders the case.

Next, Ryo is in bed with a woman. I'm assuming in another apartment since there is lighting and FURNITURE. Maybe that other space was just his creepy thinking loft? ...

And the detective is looking at a picture found in the deceased's aparment...

OH IT'S THE SAME WOMAN! WHAT ARE THE CHANCES!

Take MORE time getting to the point show, goodness.
