I started watching Dal Ja's Spring and it's just as breezy and fun as I thought it would be.

Our basic plot is as such: Dal Ja is adorable and pretty successful in her career but is not married. However, as she is about to turn 33 she better hurry up and find a man because... I don't know, your face just wrinkles up like a raisin all in one go once you hit the big three-three.

I was worried that this plot point would bother me, because I hate to see a woman's worth entirely dependent on a man. But that isn't what we are dealing with, Dal Ja is happy with her life. She likes her job, her apartment, her friends. Her life is pretty good. There isn't anything wrong with wanting someone to love and for someone to love you back.

Dal Ja's problem is that she keeps looking for her 'destiny'. That one perfect prince to ride in on his white horse and sweep her off her feet. She has this idea in her head and anything that doesn't fit in that box just won't cut it. So, she's really only setting herself up for disappointment.

Anyway, she finally builds up the courage to ask out the man she has liked for the last 8 years. They begin dating and she is SO excited, but of course he turns out to not be the best boyfriend material as he begins dating another woman at the same time.

These two characters really suprised me. Sae Do doesn't take the expected route of being a total sleazebucket. In fact, he's kind of the polar opposite of the cool cat Dal Ja thought he was. Instead he's kind of a total dork and pretty darn hilarious.

Seon Joo is perhaps the most complicated character on the show. Beneath her hard plastic exterior is a kind woman she is just very wary of letting anyone get close. Her sharp-tongues life lessons for Dal Ja are always spot on. She may not be the nicest, but she does look out for the people who are slowly becoming her friends.

Anyway, through your basic drama happenstances, Dal Ja ends up paying a man 6 years he younger to pose as her boyfriend for a month as revenge for those who hurt her pride. He soon becomes her dating coach and they strike up a pretty adorable friendship. She's able to be completely herself around him, but it doesn't really register on her radar as anything special. He's just Tae Bong. But we all know where this is headed.

Quick note: how cute is Lee Min Ki? Although, is it me or does he have a severe case of stoner eyes?

Then there is the final piece of the cast: Ascot Guy

He's super boring and responsible for Dal Ja nearly losing her job. He's not mean, just incredibly self-centered but not overtly so. Though he appears to be her knight in shining armor, he's really just a stepping stone on her way to understanding what she really wants out of a relationship.

Dal Ja's Spring is pretty much total fluff, but that's why it's so easy to eat up! The majority of the characters are a delight to watch and you can't help but hope everyone ends up happy.
