The closest we got was that he didn't move to Africa for a year and is letting her live at his office while she goes to vet school. They did try and fake us out at the very end where he leaned in for what looked like a kiss and then smacked her forehead because there was a "mosquito" (though he was just messing with her). Very frustrating -_-
