Jane Eyre

So I had no idea that Jane Eyre, perhaps my favorite book of all-time, was getting, yet another, film version. I've actually only ever seen the the 1983 version with Zelah Clarke and Timothy Dalton, though I've heard pretty good things about the 2006 mini-series. I suppose I just love the book so much that I never felt a desire to see it adapted for the screen.

But then I saw that poster and kind of loved it. Though I'm not entirely sure about the sans-serif font choice. Anyway, I thought it was lovely and the teaser looks very promising.

As troublesome as adapting Jane Eyre is, my favorite Jane Eyre spinoff, The Eyre Affair would be even more difficult. It's a world inside books and I worry that it needs to be read for all the wordplay to be appreciated. But if someone managed to do it, I'm pretty sure I'd be all over it. Love that book too.

ETA: The waitlist for Mockingjay from my library is 235 people long. All these kids need to get out of my way, dammit.
