OH NEWS

I know I'm completely late on this, but NEWS' new pv for Koi no ABO may be one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. There is a reason the JE backup dancers are usually little boys and not those of the female variety. The only thing that salvages it is the silly disco dance and costume/hairstyles in the second half. I don't think JE really knows what to do with NEWS. I get the feeling that as long as they have Yamapi not much effort is going to get put into that group since they don't really need it.

The song is blah but the only NEWS singles I've actually really liked were weeeek and Summertime, so no real surprise there. I had higher expectations when I heard it was disco-esque because I love me some disco. At least Pi ditched the perm, though I don't like this new hair thing much either. But then, Shige and Massu are suffering from ill-advised hair moves as well. OH NEWS - Why don't you have a personality?

I've been staring at excel spreadsheets all week so I am SUPER excited for my three day weekend. I'm heading up to the Chicagoland area to pick up a FREE armoire for myself. I have yet to see it in person but I am super excited about it. It's big and solid wood and FREE. I know it needs to be stripped and restained because it is currently a kind of baby poop brown and that won't do. But it will look so much better than my current tv console situation.

Easter egg dying is also in my future which is fun. Plus it means deviled eggs, WHICH ARE DELICIOUS.

Besides that I need to pack up some crafting stuff to do over the weekend. I'm experiencing a major time crunch due to my laziness. I've used up all my resin, so the casting portion is done. Now I need to paint Yoko skulls and wingalings and glue barrettes. TICK TOCK.

ETA: And Ashes to Ashes is back on the 20th!

FUCK!! HOW DID I MISS THAT!????! Seriously, the first time I read the ETA it said something completely different....Wow, I can't believe I didn't see it, you see, Daron, that's why this should have been a complete post on Ashes to Ashes and Ashes to Ashes ONLY! This is what you get when you have it as an add on at the end. (btw, I hope you don't get the impression that I don't read your entire posts, I totally do, I'm just KICKING myself for not seeing that....no excuse I suppose!)

Psh, oh you guys, I have other interests besides John Simm, like......uh...like....you know there's.... ah fuck it <3 Simm! He was in the Lakes! XD

D'aww! Those are such great pics--I had forgotten her husband had guest starred on A2A! They're one of my favorite couples--I think I first learned about them when I saw Death at a Funeral. For some strange reason, another of my fav's is Sarah Michelle Gellar & Freddie Prinze Jr. I feel so totally 90's saying that! XD

I feel like such a creepy stalker or something dropping in here randomly like this but, I just really wanted to say how much I love ashes to ashes XD and it's all thanks to ya I got to finally see it. I seriously though, have such an obsession with the show now. I dont know if I can wait the 10 days for the premiere. ;_; I havent seen ep 8 of S1 yet. I'm trying to hold off but I think I'm gonna give in and watch it before bed xD. Man I dont think I'll be satisfied with just 16 eps. Like with LoM,, I enjoyed it alot but like i"m content with where it stopped. but with A2A, I want a 3rd season! It's so bad I'm saying this before the 2nd one's even come out XD.
Also everyone on my flist has had good words for koi no abo, but I havent checked it out yet. i've been behind on JE cause of school and LoM and A2A XD. Also I feel less guilty about liking gene now at least, since he's alot more thoughtful and mature in A2A but really embarrassed at the fact I find him rather attractive now which I didnt before...

Don't sweat it! I'm glad I was able to hook you up and you liked it so much. I think I enjoyed LoM a little bit more (the music was a big factor there) but A2A is fantastic. It definitely made me appreciate Gene more. I'm really interested to see where they will take it in the second series. It's so exciting!

I'm sure Koi no ABO will grow on me, just like Kibou Yell did, but as it is right now I'm pretty underwhelmed. I'm hoping the B-sides will be good. Summertime had FANTASTIC b-sides. They are some of my favorite News songs. I'm such a bad fan, I didn't even know News had a single coming out until I stumbled upon it somewhere. I'm a member of news_jpop but I never read it so I never know what is going on in the fandom. I'm an even worse Pi fan, since I didn't even watch Code Blue.
