MY SHOW IS BACK

I'm so excited. The third season of Mad Men premiered last night and I got to watch it on a real tv like a normal person. It wasn't the best episode, but it was a solid premiere and I'm just so thrilled to have it back on my screen that I'll forgive any slow bits or missteps it may have had.



Let's start with some promo shots because the cast, costumes, and scenery are just so beautiful.







In reality I HATE Danish Modern. It might possibly the furniture style I like the least, but everything just looks so perfect on Mad Men. I don't want to own anything in that style (or have to sit in one of those horribly uncomfortable chairs), but I'll definitely watch it.

I don't know for sure if anyone else on my flist is watching, but I have a few thoughts.

• OMG YAY IT'S BACK


• Did Joan marry her awful rapist fiance?


• I love the origin of Don's real name


• I did not like how they approached Sal's scene with the bellboy. I'm glad something finally happened in regards to his sexuality, but it just felt SO random. I would have much preferred him ending up with someone like that client from the first season.


• I love that Don caught him. Don's the best guy to have know your secrets. He's not telling anyone.


• AH HA HA PETE. What a brat.


• Poor Trudy. I'm sorry you have to be married to him. That's a drag.

BEST LINE: "I told him it was a stupid idea, but sometimes they don't get our inflection."

Mad Men! I just finished the episode and loved it. I'm so glad we get another season.

I don't think Joan has married him yet, I think when she does she'll leave? (Which HOPEFULLY means she won't marry him. 1. He's awful. 2. The office would fall apart without her.)

I was confused because she was supposed to get married at Christmas I thought... and it's 1963 now so Christmas has passed. As long as she NEVER MARRIES HIM I'm cool.
