Look at it!

I actually finished this project a couple months ago but never posted pictures. A couple years ago I acquired a window frame. I stripped and stained it and have been using it as a wall decoration in my kitchen. I'd always meant to put something in the frames, but could never really decide what I wanted. Then one weekend I randomly decided to create something.
I had a calendar on hand that had photos of Hawaiian flowers and was considering that. I liked the idea of flowers and originally I had wanted to use botanical prints, but those are kind of ridiculously expensive. The photos were pretty enough, but they also felt kind of harsh. The colors were very bright and I just wasn't convinced they'd look right in my decor.
So, I decided to draw some of my own! These are all based on photos from the calendar minus the one on the bottom left. That is based on the giant flower Hye Ri had in her apartment in Prosecutor Princess (I posted about it here. I'd still love to do that in some future room).

I used charcoal, pastels, and graphite. I love charcoal, but it's a giant mess. It works it's way into your skin and gets everywhere. After I finished the drawings I stuck them to some poster board and adhered them to the glass of the windows. I just used some spray adhesive since I'll probably switch it out eventually. What I need to do is get some foamcor to sick behind it so it's a little more secure. That's probably never going to happen since I want to move on.
Completed product!

I've since painted that wall. It's a pale yellow now. I initially thought I was going green, which is why I picked the gold posterboard. I think it looks okay though.
Finally picked Coffee House back up and am through ep 10. I'm liking it more than I did the first go around. It was fine before, but I think there was too much Seung Yeon. She still does that same shuffling around like a three year old that DRIVES ME UP A WALL, but Eun Young is so amazing it doesn't really matter.
