Sleeping Beauty.

Hands down. LOVE IT. Still do, despite having possibly the weakest female character ever created.

I was kind of obsessed with it as a child. I'd listen to the vinyl record my mother had of the Tchaikovsky ballet and dance around with the white blanket I slept with. I don't remember doing this, but I've seen the evidence and don't doubt it at all. I also made my cousins play Sleeping Beauty with me, which horrified them, because they were boys and it's about the girliest thing ever.

The Disney cartoon is one of my favorite movies, I love everything about it: the music, the animation, BASICALLY THE FACT THAT IT EXISTS. Which reminds me, I should totally rewatch it since it's been a few years.

I even wrote a paper on the evolution of the fairytale for an independent study I did on fairy tales as an undergrad.

When (okay - IF) I ever write an original story it's probably going to be a retelling of this tale, only severely updated to deal with the feminist issues I now have with it. (the heroine SLEEPS THROUGH THE CLIMAX. Not cool) confession time: I've already written a fanfiction version of Sleeping Beauty during my stint in the Draco/Hermione fandom. Don't look at me like that, rl friends... I never wanted to admit this to you, but I don't need to carry around this secret shame! You understand, right? Maybe you'll forget? *runs far away*

Drama Talk: Atashinchi no Danshi continues to be pretty cute, if underwhelming, but I'm totally just in this for the OTP of Chisato/Sho. I'm such a shameless shipper, it's not even funny. (sailorgaia! Hard Gay made a cameo appearance in episode 6 and I totally thought of you! OH DRAGON*CON)

MR BRAIN (I feel stupid just typing that, I'm glad I don't have to actually SAY it) is kind of awesome. I've always watched the first episode but I'm pretty sure I'll love it. KimuTaku's character is FANTASTIC. And is it just a fact of the universe that Mizushima Hiro has to have the WORST HAIR EVER. Ayase Haruka remains gorgeous, and her part it cute, but everyone else pales in comparison to KimuTaku.

Yeah, I know. Which is kind of one of the reasons I've always wanted to rewrite it, because for the longest time I wanted to be her and now it makes me feel SO LAME.

HAHA, I recently uncovered that Bust a Groove fanfic for shits and giggles. I also had a horrendous X-Files fic I wrote back in middle school that is still housed on the internet somewhere. Same with Buffy. My HP fics are miles better than those, but it's still embarrassing.
